Abraham Heights - Retaining Wall

Our clients approached us to replace the ageing retaining walls on their steep residential section. The existing structures had reached the end of their life, and the area had become overgrown and run down, leaving a bank that was neither stable nor usable. With steep ground, restricted access and wet conditions to work around, the project needed careful planning from the start.
We began by clearing the old walls and overgrown vegetation, then excavated and reshaped the bank to set the right lines and levels. The new walls were built with large treated timber poles concreted into the ground and fitted with treated timber boards. There's a 23-metre upper wall and a 12-metre lower wall, and both follow the natural fall of the land. As each section went up, we installed drainage behind it to carry groundwater away and help stop pressure building up behind the walls. We staged the digging and building carefully throughout, which kept access safe and disruption to the rest of the property to a minimum. A timber fence above the lower wall adds privacy and gives it a tidy finish.
The finished project has turned a neglected, overgrown bank into a stable and well-finished outdoor space. The new walls give the section solid, lasting support, the fence adds privacy, and the reshaped ground is ready for whatever landscaping comes next. It's a durable result on a site that needed careful planning and quality workmanship at every stage.
